Our school management information system is currently being built directly into our existing ecosystem to give you everything you need in one place. This means that not all MIS features are available for demonstration yet, but we will be able to show you these as they are released.

We already integrate with Google Classroom and Microsoft to add supercharged functionality to our learning platform features, and Single Sign On to make logging in just that bit easier. Our MIS will also benefit from these integrations, as well as other integrations with third party tools via Wonde. We also have a partnership with Timetabler.

As always, the pricing for our Satchel One MIS will depend on your school size and feature set requirements. We are, however, confident that our pricing is competitive within the market and comparable to or cheaper than other cloud-based MIS systems, with the added classroom management functionality that Satchel One also has today. In addition to what we include on Satchel One as standard, we have a partnership with Timetabler. Our integration with Timetabler is inclusive of a 10% discount on year one costs as part of this partnership.

Unlike other MIS, we offer a phased rollout so you can go at your own pace. Choose to enable any combination of our classroom management apps before switching on all of the cloud MIS features. Your dedicated Satchel Project Manager will work with you to customise each phase and provide tailored training to meet your school's needs. Schools who opt to use another MIS can still enjoy Satchel One for all of their classroom management. Historically, Satchel One as a learning platform has integrated with all the UK’s major MIS. Our own MIS will become another option for schools. The benefits of using Satchel One for everything is that schools will not need to rely on third party integrations and data syncs which can limit some functionality or impact data speed and integrity.

We have maintained a 99.99% system uptime during the last 12 months and optimal response times through scalable databases and server capacities that dynamically adjust to changing demands. We deal with Support cases quickly and efficiently by asking for basic user, school and bug/issue information upfront, reducing the number of messages required to help resolve cases. Our median response time to our in-app Chat bubble is currently 35 minutes, and our average response time across all systems is 3 hours 15 minutes.

You will have the opportunity to cancel your licence at any point during the extended onboarding period to ensure you only launch with us if you’re completely satisfied with the product.

Our cloud-based MIS offers a comprehensive suite of applications and features designed to streamline school management and enhance the educational experience. It includes classroom management tools such as Attendance, Homework, Behaviour, Seating, Detentions, and Timetables. Essential documentation and welfare tracking are supported through Documents and Welfare Notes. Premium features expand functionality with Assessment, a Notice Board for important announcements, Exams management, Referred Incidents, On Call services, and Sanctions. The platform also supports the entire academic structure, covering Courses, Departments, Groups, Levels, Rooms, Academic Years, Subjects, and Custom Fields, with options for School Branding and White Labelling. The school administration is further streamlined with tools for Admissions, Assessment, Personnel, Roles & Permissions, Guardian Contacts, and Cover & Absence management.

Data is exported from the school's current MIS to the Satchel One MIS test environment during the onboarding phase for the first round of data review checks and for the training of key stakeholders. If the school is migrating from SIMS then their data should be supplied via a SIMS backup file, otherwise Satchel will provide spreadsheet templates to complete. Data is checked by Satchel Champions at the school who have been trained and guided to complete the checks. A second import from the current MIS to the test site is completed to address any identified issues from the first import to finalise the data review and confirm that the school is ready to launch. Further imports can be arranged if required following the second import data checks. A final import is then completed to Satchel One MIS with data checked against data in the current MIS for final sign-off before going live to all stakeholders.
